Dear Rand Road Families, 

Good afternoon, this is Tammy Carey, your Principal, with your weekly message. I hope everyone is enjoying this three-day weekend!

Family Movie Night was a lot of fun and the weather was perfect! Thank you for all the work that went into making this event successful and enjoyable!

For our morning carpool families, please remember to wait until arrival to pull up in front of the school. The only cars that should be in front of the umbrellas are families dropping off for Before Care.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, is Veterans Day and there is no school for students. We sincerely thank all those who are serving or have served our country. Thank you for bravely doing what you are called to do so we can safely do what we are free to do.

The 2nd Quarter PTA meeting will be held on Tuesday, at 6:00 pm. We hope you can join us to discuss important updates and upcoming events, including Rand Road Fun Run and Field Days. Volunteers and donations are needed to make this fundraising event possible and successful.

5th Grade students will take their first NC Reading Check-In on Wednesday.  These assessments are formative and provide us with information on students’ strengths and areas of need. Thank you for having your students on time and well rested.

Boosterthon kick off will be on Thursday. Look for information coming home with your child on that day! Thank you in advance for your support.

Also, on Thursday evening, a group of 3rd grade students will be performing at the Garner Stars on Stage event. This event is sponsored by the Garner Chamber Education Foundation and brings area Garner Schools together to showcase their talent. The event will be held at Garner Magnet High School at 6:30 pm. I know our performers will do a fantastic job. Thank you to Ms. Huddleston for your leadership for this event. 

Thank you for your cooperation in following WCPSS safety protocols. In order to keep everyone safe, everyone visiting a school, for any reason, is required to sign in at the front office. For an easier check-in process, please have a driver’s license or state-approved ID from any state with you.
