Weekly Message from Ms. Jones
Week of September 21
Good evening. This is Rhonda Jones, the proud principal of Rand Road Elementary School. Thank you for all that you are doing to support your children with remote learning. I know that it is challenging as you balance family and work obligations. I appreciate the resilience, patience, and flexibility that you are modeling for your children. Just as you are learning new skills, so are Rand Road staff members. Teachers have been working very hard to make adjustments to instruction and to meet the needs of each student. In a remote situation, neither comes easy, but our staff are committed to the success of our students and to their responsibilities as educators. I could not be more proud of their work. If you are looking for daycare options, please reach out to our counselors, Meredith Harris or Larin Moore and they can share available information with you. You should have received your child’s interim last week, with feedback regarding their progress. This is a great time to help them set goals, related to academics and work habits. Lastly, the PTA wants to thank everyone for their participation in the GoPlaySave coupon book fundraiser. There are still a few days left for sales. Thank you so much for your support. Remember, we are here for you and I hope you have a wonderful week.
Aug 18 UPDATE!
Good evening. This is Rhonda Jones, the proud principal of Rand Road Elementary School. I was really looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow, however, the forecast is calling for thunderstorms for the next two days and where there's thunder, there is the threat of lightning. To keep everyone safe, we have changed our materials distribution date to Monday, August 24. If you can't join us, please reach out to your child's teacher and we can plan for you to come when it's more convenient. Thank you and have a terrific Tuesday evening.
