Weekly Message from Ms. Jones
Week of March 1
Good evening families. This is Rhonda Jones, the proud principal of Rand Road Elementary School. It was a beautiful weekend and I hope you had an opportunity to enjoy some time in the sunshine and warm temperatures. If you were happy with your child’s interim report, continue supporting their efforts, if not, be sure to collaborate with their teacher to develop a new plan of support so that your child will be successful. Regular attendance for the full day of instruction and engaged participation make a difference.
We have another busy and exciting week ahead. Our Cohort 1/A 4th and 5th graders return to campus this week along with our Pre K - 3rd graders and we can’t wait to see them in person. Tomorrow is also our parent session on Dreambox and iStation. You don’t want to miss this informative session that begins at 6:30. Sessions will be in both English and Spanish. This week we will celebrate Read Across America, beginning with Sock day tomorrow. Also, this Wednesday is another asynchronous day and students will work independently. These days are scheduled to provide teachers with planning time as they continue to develop new skills and strategies to reach students.
I want to thank you for your continuous support of our school efforts as we navigate these challenging times together. Our students who have been attending in person are doing an exceptional job following our new protocols and supporting a safe school environment because of you. Thank you again for all that you do as their first teacher. Have a wonderful night and an even better week.
