Dear Rand Road Families, 

Good afternoon, this is Tammy Carey, your Principal, with your weekly message. Welcome back! We hope that everyone enjoyed this fall track-out. We are looking forward to welcoming each of you back tomorrow.

On Wednesday, our students will attend a Cultural Arts performance entitled “Cherokee Tales”. This opportunity was made possible by the generosity of our PTA. We sincerely appreciate the support they provide in ensuring our students have a variety of enriching activities.

Additionally, this week, our ECS students will enjoy participating in a field trip to the Marbles Museum.

Picture day is this Thursday. Information will be sent home tomorrow with your child. 

This week our 3rd graders will take the CogAT assessment Wednesday–Friday. Each day they will have three 10 min. assessments for a total of 30 min. This is part of the process for identifying students for consideration of a referral to the school-based committee for gifted education. Parents will be notified of students' results.

All families received a Recipe Card to highlight our diversity through the common love of food! Please return these with your children so we can compile a Rand Road Recipe Book reflecting our entire Rand Road family.

Thank you for your cooperation in following WCPSS safety protocols. In order to keep everyone safe, everyone visiting a school, for any reason, is required to sign in at the front office. For an easier check-in process, please have a driver’s license or state-approved ID from any state with you.

We are so excited about seeing you tomorrow! Get to bed early so you can be well rested and ready to begin Quarter 2!
