Good afternoon, this is Tammy Carey, your Principal, with your weekly message. I hope everyone is doing well. We have a busy week ahead of us!

Thank you to everyone who supported the PTA fundraiser by purchasing the GoPlaySave books. It was a success, exceeding the set goal. Please return any unsold books to your child's teacher.

The Fall Book Fair has arrived and will be going on all week! All students will have the opportunity to preview and purchase items during school. Families may also purchase on Family Night on Thursday or online. Another option is to set up an ewallet for your student that will work as a gift card. Check Class Dojo for more information.

Students will take their BOY Math assessments this week. Teachers will use this information to determine what students know what they need to know and plan instruction. This is a reminder that we try to schedule assessments on Wednesdays whenever possible.

Superhero Math Mall is coming this Thursday! Bring your child for some fun activities, free items to take home, and information for parents on how to best help your child be successful in math! The event is from 5:30-7:00 pm. Food trucks will be available if you are looking to grab some dinner or snacks as well. But, the fun does not stop there! Our fall Book Fair is also happening in the Media Center next week. It will be open for families to make purchases that night! It is certain to be a fun night. We hope you can all make it!

That same night, 3rd grade parents are invited to an informational meeting regarding Read to Achieve legislation from 5:00-5:30.

Thank you for using SchoolCash Online (SCO) to pay for field trips. This removes the need for teachers to receive and receipt money each morning, allowing them to focus on greeting students and getting started with learning.  

We continue to appreciate your cooperation in following WCPSS safety protocols. In order to keep everyone safe, everyone visiting a school, for any reason, is required to sign in at the front office. For an easier check-in process, please have a driver’s license or state-approved ID from any state with you.

We will see everyone in the morning!
