Dear Rand Road Families, 

Good afternoon, this is Tammy Carey, your Principal, with your weekly message. The weather this weekend has reminded me that fall is on the way. It is hard to believe that we are in the final week of August! I hope everyone is enjoying the preview of cooler weather on the way.

We have completed the first month of school and interims will be sent home this week. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions. 

Traditional school starts this Tuesday. Please be aware that there will be increased traffic and  buses may be delayed. It generally takes a week or two for things to settle down again. As a reminder, for safety reasons, we ask that carpool traffic lines up towards the neighborhood and not the construction towards 50 during arrival and dismissal and keep the crosswalk clear for our student walkers. Thank you for your cooperation.

Our GoPlaySave fundraiser deadline is approaching! We are at 46% of our goal so we need your help!  Make sure to continue sharing your student's fundraising link with friends and family. Money raised will help fund digital education resources for teachers, the lease on the color printer for the office, as well as funding field trips for our students! The RRES PTA keeps 50% of all sales!

Thank you for using SchoolCash Online (SCO) to pay for field trips. This removes the need for teachers to receive and receipt money each morning allowing them to focus on greeting students and getting started with learning.  

Make sure to check the reminders for upcoming events. Don’t forget, there is no school next Monday, 9/2/24 in observance of Labor Day.

We continue to appreciate your cooperation in following WCPSS safety protocols. In order to keep everyone safe, everyone visiting a school, for any reason, is required to sign in at the front office. For an easier check-in process, please have a driver’s license or state-approved ID from any state with you.
