Dear Rand Road Families, 

Good afternoon, and welcome or welcome back for the 2024-2025 school year! This is Tammy Carey, your Principal, with your weekly message. 

We had a great first week of school with our Superheroes! This week will be the first week for all Kindergartners and PreK students. If you are using carpool, please be patient, it may move a little slower as we help our youngest superheroes acclimate to school arrival and dismissal.

Thank you for following the carpool procedures. It made the dismissal go smoothly and safely. One additional request that I did not mention is that during the busy times of arrival and dismissal, please only turn right out of the parking lot to keep things safe and moving efficiently.

Buses are running smoothly. We anticipate this will continue at least until traditional school begins. Remember, Kindergarten and 1st grade students will not be dropped off unless an adult is there waiting for them.

Mark your calendars for the first PTA meeting that will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. We hope to see you there as the PTA will share important information regarding this school year’s planned activities. I will also be sharing information on what it means to be a Title One school.

Check your child’s book bag for important information once they arrive home. 3rd-5th graders will be utilizing an agenda to learn organizational skills and how to plan.   As always, please call the front desk with any questions.

In order to keep everyone safe, everyone visiting a school, for any reason, is required to sign in at the front office. For an easier check-in process, please have a driver’s license or state-approved ID from any state with you.
