Dear Rand Road Families,

Good afternoon! This is Tammy Carey, your Principal, with your weekly message. Happy Father’s Day too to all our dads! I hope you have a wonderful afternoon as we recognize and honor the important role of fathers in our lives.

Last week was busy as staff and students worked on completing the final learning and projects for this school year!

Our 3rd-5th grade students worked hard and used their strategies as they took their Reading EOG. We are so proud of their focus and effort! Parents thank you for having everyone to school on time and ready to begin!

On Friday, we wrapped up our week by watching the Kindergarten Letterland parade. It was a lot of fun as Kindergarten went all out with floats, bikes and candy as they paraded throughout the school dressed as some of their favorite Letterland characters! It was a great way to end the week!

This week, on Tuesday, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will take their NC Math EOG. Parents, please help students be ready, on time, and well rested. If your child is worried, remind them to remain calm and if they get stuck, take a deep breath, go with the flow, do your best and show what you know!

There is no school for students on Wednesday, June 19, as we celebrate and commemorate the Federal holiday of Juneteenth National Independence Day.

On Friday, our 5th graders will take their final NC EOG in Science. We know they are ready and will do a great job!

This is our last full week of school! Keep up the good work!

Students: We will see you in the morning. Have a great afternoon!
