Dear Rand Road Families, 

Good afternoon! This is Tammy Carey, your Principal, with your weekly message. Happy Mother’s Day to all moms and all women who are models of positive motherhood.

Exciting News: Book Blast Starts this week. Our kick-off is on Tuesday and Treasure Maps will be delivered that day! 

Parents: Tuesday is a Second Primary Election Day and Rand Road is a polling site. Voters will use the back parking lot and only enter and exit through the back gym doors. They will not have access to any other part of the school. PE classes will be held in an alternate location.

On Wednesday, our 3^rd, 4^th, and 5^th graders will take their final Math NC Check-In. Students have been working diligently and we are so proud of their progress.

If you have not yet completed your family survey this is the final week to turn it in. Thank you to all families that have already completed it. We value your input.

Last week was a really busy week. Our third graders enjoyed the Greensboro Science Museum. First Grade students had a wonderful time exploring the NC Zoo in Asheboro.  Our second graders had a great time at the Life and Science Museum in Durham and our ECS class went to the Zoological Park. Thank you again to everyone who made these trips possible for our students.  

Career Day on Friday was a big success! Thank you to all our community volunteers who came and shared with our students. A big shout out to our student counselors Ms. Harris and Ms. Irving for coordinating this event to inspire our students.

Don’t forget our PTA meeting is this Wednesday at 6:00pm. We hope to see you there in person or online!
