RCMMS PTA News
The PTA will host a Cultural Arts presentation on Wednesday, Feb. 26 for all 6th graders – Rhythms of the Latin World – in the auditorium. We will also sell spirit wear and discuss PTA membership and initiatives with new families at the 6th grade Welcome Event that evening. Our “No-Fuss Fundraiser” drive, which will help us fund our spring initiatives, continues online.
Last Chance: Our online spirit wear sale continues through Feb. 21. We have RCMMS t-shirts, hoodies and crew necks in stock in most sizes and colors. Don’t forget to sign up for Gaming Spirit Night at NC Esports Academy in Cary on Feb. 21; you must pre-register on their website. We are continuing our “No-Fuss Fundraiser” drive to help us fund our spring initiatives.

If you need a Reedy Creek t-shirt or sweatshirt, browse the PTA's online store. They have a small inventory of t-shirts and hoodies in every size, plus some crew necks and Dri-Fit shirts. Order online, give your name or student's name, and you will receive the item at school.

Instrument & Supplies Donation Request
We are accepting donations of string instruments, such as violins, violas, and cellos, to support our Strings Club, with a particular need for cellos. Additionally, we welcome any related donations, including strings, shoulder rests, cello donuts/anchors, and music. By donating, you help provide equitable access to musical experiences for all learners in our school. Donations can be brought directly to the school.

The panel of judges feature female industry leaders, including Heather Chandler, a video game producer who has led teams at Epic Games, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, and Activision. She also served as the Senior Producer on Fortnite. She will be joined by esteemed professionals:
Janie Hughes – Co-Founder of BingoBard, Women in Games Ambassador & Chair of IGDA NC Triangle
Amber Murray Johnson – Professor of Simulation and Game Development at Wake Tech
Jayden Sansom – NCSU Graduate and Future Tools Programmer
Meg Hughes – Video Game Producer
Middle School: Game Concept Pitch
What You’ll Do:
- Create and Pitch Your Own Video Game Concept.
- Share your idea to a panel of industry experts.
- Compete for exciting prizes and present your pitch at the GameMakers Showcase
Who Can Enter?
Middle school students with big ideas and a passion for gaming! No experience needed—just creativity and a great pitch.

Prospective athletes need to give a copy of their 1st Semester Report Card to coaches before tryouts.
