• We LOVE Reedy Creek!
We were drawn to Reedy Creek because of the many elective choices in the areas of robotics, engineering and computer science, which my kids were lucky enough to be introduced to during elementary school and really enjoyed.  Reedy Creek is actually the only magnet school that we looked at and applied to because we felt that it was the perfect fit the moment we stepped through the doors for our first tour.

Reedy Creek has continued to exceed our expectations in all areas.  My oldest was able to compete on the school robotics team, advancing to the state championship both years, and now her sister has joined the team.  My other daughter has also been able to take mechatronics classes, along with animal science, which is something she is very interested in.  She has even been able to participate in the theater performances.

All of the teachers and administrators have been amazing.  Reedy Creek has become more of a family than a school.  The teachers really get to know and care about their students.  They will do anything to help them succeed.

My oldest graduated in the spring, and was accepted into the Engineering Academy at Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School.  I currently have a 6th and 7th grader at Reedy Creek, who especially love their mechatronics and animal science classes, but are also enjoying their core classes.

If I had to do it all again, I wouldn’t change a thing.  Driving from Fuquay Varina to Reedy Creek (when we are in school) is more than worth it, and I highly recommend Reedy Creek Magnet Middle School!

  • I am amazed at how advanced these students are in their studies of technologies. It’s encouraging to see that these students are not only being exposed to these fields at such an early age, but they are able to cope and comprehend them.”

  • We LOVE the digital sciences theme! We are so pleased with the diversity of teachers at RCMMS. This was something our child observed and commented on right away.  Our child loves Robotics and Mechatronics and Mr. Boehm! Rubik’s Cube Club is teaching him about algorithms! It feels like we're getting a jump on the future. What other kids are taking Python? One of our friends who used to work at NASA was blown away by this. We are very pleased with the communication [at Reedy Creek]. Not only are there multiple means to meet people where they like to receive it, the tone is a refreshing break from what we've experienced in the past. RCMMS comms are respectful, informative, accurate, and transparent.

My time at Reedy Creek middle was such a memorable and remarkable learning experience. As a new high schooler, I feel that my middle school experience was crucial in shaping my work ethic, and willingness to explore different subjects. From the very beginning, my teachers made me feel like I was full of potential, and truly wanted me to fulfill my opportunities. The staff at reedy creek were nothing but supportive and made me comfortable taking on challenging tasks. The willingness for teachers to help students through problem solving was one of my main takeaways. My high school preparedness was especially put to the test once remote learning started due to Covid 19. The school continued to provide me with the resources needed to progress and eventually transition into high school.
