    • 2019 Magnet Schools of America National Top New & Emerging School of Merit

    • STEM RTP STEMmy Award for 2019 STEM School of the Year (This is a K-12 multi-county award.)

    • 2018-2019 WCPSS Disability History and Awareness Month GOLD Award for having the district's highest number of lessons, activities, and articles completed in the District Awareness Challenge.
       
    • 8th Grade Science Teacher Aleah Abernathy won North Carolina Science Teachers Association District 3 Outstanding Middle School Science Teacher

    • Special Programs teacher Laura Albright won WCPSS Special Olympics Coach of the Year

    • Autism Support teacher Audrey Robinson won Cary Chamber of Commerce Honor a Teacher award

    • WCPSS School-to-Career Volunteer Award was awarded to Amit Rahalkar of DB Global Technologies, Inc. for DB’s business partnership work with RCMMS

    • Our FTC Robotics Team won the FIRST Connect Award for gracious professionalism and outreach.

    • Our FTC Robotics Team won the FIRST Inspire Award, which is the top FTC award and celebrates the strongest qualities of all judged awards.

    • Our FLL Robotics Team won the Highest Middle School Robotics Challenge Score award at the WCPSS 2019 Spring Tournament.

      2018 Awards

    • Awarded the 2018 Cary Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneurial Award in Education, sponsored by Huntington Learning Center.

    • An 8th grader won the STEM in the Park, Research Triangle Park STEMmy Award for 2018 STEM Student of the Year (This is a grade 5-8 multi-county award.)

    • Principal Evans won the Cary Magazine Middle School Principal of the year MAGGY Award for the 4th year in a row.

    • An 8th grader won 3rd place in the PTA Reflections Contest.


      2016-2017 Awards

    • Our Animal Science teacher named Wake County Public Schools Diane Kent-Parker 1st Year Teacher of the Year

    • Robotics team of 5 students named Overall Champions (Wake County RoboWake 2017)

    • Robotics team of 6 students won the 1st Place in Teamwork (Wake County RoboWake 2017)

    • An 8th grader and a 7th grader won Gold Medals in Food Innovations, and an 8th grader won a Silver Medal in Sports Nutrition at the North Carolina Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America Conference

    • An 8th grader placed in All State Concert Band and earned 1st Chair Trumpet in All State Jazz Band

    • Principal Evans won the Cary Magazine Best Middle School Principal of the Year Maggie Award for the third year in a row

    • A 7th grader won 2nd place and an 8th grader won 3rd place at Artsplosure
