College Awareness Week!
Next week is College Awareness Week and students will be participating in activities to increase awareness of educational opportunities available beyond high school, and ways to help them get there. Our 8th grade students will use the Major Clarity platform to research post secondary options. We will also have a college themed PBIS spirit week and encourage all students to participate. Themed days are included below:
Monday May 20: College Spirit Day - Dress in your favorite college attire
Tuesday May 21: King & Queen of YOUR Future Day! - Dress as a Royal
Wednesday May 22: Hats Off to your FUTURE! - Wear a silly hat or hairdo
Thursday May 23: YOU Have a Bright Future! - Dress in neon colors
Friday May 24: You SOAR at RCMMS! - Dress in RCMMS attire or colors
End-of-Grade Testing Information
As we approach the end of the school year, preparations for required end-of-grade testing have commenced. The state requires all schools to administer the end-of-grade and course testing within the last 5 days (semester classes) or 10 days (year-long classes) of the school year. Reedy Creek Middle School will be testing on the following dates:
- Friday, May 31, 2024 (Math 8, and Math 1 only)
- Monday, June 3, 2024 (Reading 6, Math 7, and Reading 8)
- Tuesday, June 4, 2024 (Math 6, Reading 7, and Science 8)
Though most students will complete their end-of-grade testing on these dates, some students will test outside of these dates, either before or after, due to scheduling, absences, and to remain in compliance with student educational plans.

Yes, Yearbooks are still available! This is Our Story - Volume 20
We anticipate Yearbooks arriving in the next week or two with distribution happening prior to the EOG’s (so students have plenty of time for friends to sign the back!)
