Bus Driver Appreciation
Next week is Bus Driver Appreciation Week! We have a group of six dedicated bus drivers here at OCE. They are the best bus drivers in WCPSS and we are lucky to have them! Please have your students make cards, letters of appreciation, or treat them with a gift. You can find our driver’s routes and names listed here.
Staff Experience Raffle

Reading Night on February 13
We’re hosting a school-wide Family Reading Night (2 page menu) on February 13 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. There will be opportunities to learn about reading instruction here at school and ways to support your reader at home. It’ll be fun and informative, and we hope to see you there!
Valentine’s Dance
Our PTA will be hosting a Valentine’s Dance for grades K-2 on February 20th from 6:00-7:30 p.m. and grades 3-5 on February 21st from 6:00-7:30 p.m. This dance is for students and one special adult guest. This is NOT a drop off event and students must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available for presale only until February 18 and they will be delivered to your child's classroom the week of the dance. Click here to purchase tickets and click here for more details!
Special Persons’ Breakfast
The annual OCE Special Persons’ Breakfast is right around the corner in early March! This is a wonderful opportunity for your student to invite a special person in their life - whether it’s a grandparent, aunt or uncle, neighbor - to have breakfast with them at our school. There are two dates available; we request you select the one that works best for your family. Click here to register.
Heart Challenge
