We had another great week of school at OCE! I will return from medical leave on Tuesday, January 21st. I am excited to be back!

 

We have quite a few family-friendly events coming up and we invite you to come join the fun!

 

Here are some school updates:

 

Science Fair is next week!

Our OCE Science Fair is next week! Our K-2 Science Fair is on January 22nd at 6:00 p.m. and the 3-5 event is on January 23rd at 6:00 p.m. This year, the 3-5 component will be competitive and the winners will be eligible to compete in the regional competition. If you’re able to volunteer either night, click here. We are so excited for these two events!

 

Reading Night on February 13

We will host a school-wide Reading Night from 6:00-7:30 p.m. There will be opportunities to learn about reading instruction here at school and ways to support your reader at home. We hope to see you there!

Valentine’s Dance

Our PTA will be hosting a Valentine’s Dance for grades K-2 on February 20th and grades 3-5 on February 21st. This dance is for students and one special adult guest. This is NOT a drop off event and students must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available for presale only until February 18 and they will be delivered to your child's classroom the week of the dance. Click here to purchase tickets or click here for more details!

 

Lunch Volunteers Needed

Chorus Club for 4th and 5th grade Students

The Chorus Club is now open for the Spring ‘25 semester.  You can find more information in the Application Letter from Ms. McConnell. If your child is interested in joining the Chorus Club, please complete this Application. Tracks 1, 2 & 3 are due by January 17th and Track 4 is due by February 3rd.
