Dear Salem Families,
Our Scholastic Book Fair is in full swing! We hope you all will be able to join us tomorrow night, December 9th for Bedtime Stories with Teachers from 5:00 - 6:30! Teachers will be reading stories and the Book Fair will be open for business - a great time for purchasing holiday gifts for your students AND supporting Salem’s amazing PTA!
Some Salem families have received information that their student(s) will be impacted by changes included in the 2025-2026 enrollment plan approved by the WCPSS Board of Education on Nov. 26. Families wishing to remain at Salem may complete a stability transfer in the application portal beginning on Dec. 5. Families with eligible students will receive a separate email on Dec. 5 with a direct link to the stability transfer request portal. Stability transfer requests are not considered on a first-come, first-serve basis. All eligible students who submit their request during the request period, Dec. 5 - Dec. 19, will have their request approved. Review the approved stability rules. If you have questions please feel free to reach out to the Office of Student Assignment: 919-431-7333 or use their online form.

The Salem Elementary PTA is partnering with Regal Cinemas for an awesome fundraiser. From October 18 all the way through January 12, 2025, anytime you want to see a movie, please consider going to a Regal Cinemas and purchase your tickets in advance through the link provided below. Regal will give back to Salem Elementary PTA for every movie bundle purchase you make! Are you going to be traveling during the holidays?! That’s ok…. This fundraiser will work at Regals nationwide as long as the movie bundle is purchased using the link below.
This is going to be right in time for chilly weather, family holiday gatherings and some exciting movie releases that include: Transformers One, The Wild Robot, Gladiator II, Wicked, Moana 2, Mufasa: The Lion King, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and so many more!!
