Election 2024 - 11/5/24

Dear Students, Families, and Staff,

As we move forward after the 2024 elections, we want to remind everyone of the importance of maintaining a respectful and inclusive environment in our school community. Participating in the democratic process is vital for all of us—students, staff, and families—to ensure our voices are heard, and our values are reflected in the world around us.

Our right to express our thoughts and opinions is important, and we encourage you to do so in peaceful and constructive ways. It’s important to remember that while sharing our views, we must also respect the rights of others. Any expression that disrupts our learning environment or infringes on the dignity of others through bullying, harassment, or discrimination is not in line with our school values and policies.

For families and staff, we recognize how essential it is to address current events like elections in a way that empowers our students to be informed and engaged citizens. It is important to help students understand and engage with the democratic process. As responsible adults, let’s ensure our students see us as positive role models in our ability to work together and ensure respect, dignity, and inclusivity.

The days after the 2024 elections will be the same for our school community. We expect our students and staff to adhere to our guidelines and foster a consistent, supportive learning experience across classrooms for all students.

Remember, this is an opportunity to model respectful dialogue and active citizenship. I appreciate your commitment to creating a positive, understanding, and supportive school community.

Sincerely,

S. Jacobs, Principal
