Principal's Weekly Message - 3/17/24

We are looking forward to spring break, just one week away!

LRHS Registration for the 24-25 school year

The counselors of LRHS are currently meeting with all students in grades 9, 10, and 11 to help them with the process of selecting their classes. Each grade level has been assigned a specific colored folder: green for juniors, blue for sophomores, and yellow for freshmen. These folders contain important information regarding class selections and other handouts that are relevant to each grade level. We encourage parents to inquire about these folders and their child's meeting with their counselor. Attention Parents of Seniors: Jostens will be on campus on Wednesday, March 20, during both lunches to deliver student cap and gown items. All items must be paid for in full before students receive their products. Parents, online payments must be made 48 hours prior to the delivery date. Cash or money orders will only be accepted on the delivery date.

If your senior still needs to place an order, go to the All Things Class of 2024 on the school's website and click on Josten's Link. Orders made now will not be delivered by Wednesday the 20th, but at a later date, that will be announced.

The Pride Athletic Club (PAC) is calling for nominations for Officers for the 2024-2025 school year.

Officer positions include President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.
Nominees must be members of the 2023-2024 PAC (i.e., purchased an All-Season Sports Pass).
Nominations must be submitted to samantha.starr@merck.com by April 5, 2024.
The election will occur at the PAC's May 13, 2024, meeting in the Murphy building.

In addition to the elected Officers, volunteers are needed to serve as Board Members by chairing committees.

Committees include Camps, Concessions, Sponsorships, Fundraising, Social Media, and Celebrations.
Board Members have voting rights equivalent to Officers.
Board Members do not need to be members of the 2023-2024 PAC.
If you are not interested in Chairing a committee but still want to be involved, volunteers are needed to serve on various committees.

LRHS Prom 2024

The prom will be held at the Marriott on Saturday, April 27, from 7 to 11 pm. The theme is Light up the Night. Tickets are on sale through OSP from now until April 10. Only Juniors and Seniors may purchase tickets.
