Fall Semester Virtual Meet the Teacher Night
Meet the Teacher Night for the Fall semester will be Thursday, August 26 beginning at 6 pm. Due to current conditions, this will be a virtual event. Teachers will have introductory videos posted to their virtual classrooms, which can be found using the academics tab and then clicking departments to find your student’s teacher for you to view. These video presentations will provide you with important class and subject information. If you have questions or need for clarification on what is presented in a particular teacher’s video, you are asked to email them directly.

Please find the lunch assignments, by 3rd period teacher, here: https://bit.ly/LunchF21
All students will report to their 3rd period class before going to their assigned lunch on Monday, August 23.
Preparing for School Transportation
Bus routes, stops, and times have now been posted in Powerschool. Please review this information with your child(ren) and make sure they are aware of their specific transportation details. Also, due to the shortage of bus drivers, routes may be arriving earlier in the mornings, and may be dropping off later in the afternoons. The county has indicated that some students may be arriving to school as early as 6:35 AM and may leave school as late as 3:05 PM because of the need to add or double up on existing bus routes.
Additional changes could be made during the first few weeks of school. Please be reminded that students should be ready and waiting for the bus at least 10 minutes before the bus is expected to arrive. WCPSS Transportation Services ask that parents please be patient as routes settle during the first few weeks of school. With students becoming familiar with this new routine, bus routes may take more time.
Leesville Road High School will administer the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) on Wednesday, October 13. Students who wish to test with accommodations must have that information submitted to College Board by August 24. Here is a link to the College Board website with additional information. Contact Kim Arwood at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.

Meningococcal Vaccine Requirement (repeat)
Juniors (Rising Seniors): As of 2020, state law requires all seniors to have a Meningitis Vaccination booster dose after the age of 16 before they begin their senior year. If you have not already, please submitted a copy of your immunization via email to email@example.com or via fax at 919-670-4408. This proof needs to be received before the first day of the 2021-22 school year.
Thank you for your continued support of Leesville Road High School, where we take PRIDE in everything we do.
