Graduation Ceremony Information (repeat)
Leesville Road High School’s Class of 2020 Celebration will be held Thursday, June 11 with the Diploma Drive-up Ceremony. This ceremony will begin at 8am and conclude at 4:30 pm with assigned times for each portion of the alphabet. Graduates and families will remain in cars until reaching the drop point where graduates, following social distancing guidelines will be able to come on stage, receive their diploma and commemorative gift, have a photo taken and then proceed back to the vehicle. Specific logistical details for our Diploma Drive-up Ceremony were sent last week and are posted to our website.
Leesville Road High School’s celebration of the Class of 2020 will continue with our Virtual Graduation Ceremony, which will broadcast June 11 at 8 pm. This production will include aspects of the traditional graduation program including student and principal speeches, the turning of tassels, and the calling of each senior’s name with a corresponding slide and picture. Closer to the graduation broadcast date, we will share avenues to access the ceremony via the school website. It will also be available after that time if that is more convenient for families and will be available for families to save the video.
Class of 2020 Spotlights (repeat)
As we continue to navigate this unprecedented event and the impact it has had on our Seniors. I would like to take steps to make sure that the public knows how phenomenal our Senior class is. To accomplish this, I would like to post a picture of each Senior to our website and social media pages. In addition, a short, two sentence description of what their future plans after graduation are will need to accompany the photo. Please send submissions to isolomon@wcpss.net.
Thank you for your continued support of Leesville Road High School, where we take PRIDE in everything we do.
