Ms. Bingham
Ms. Bingham has been teaching art at Hortons Creek Elementary for all of her 7 years of teaching. She has a Bachelors degree in Art education from Appalachian State University specializing in Painting and Fiver arts. She is a Cary native, loves going for walks on nature trails and hunting for unique treasures in thrift stores and antique shops.

Ms. Haithcock
Ms. Haithcock grew up in Lenoir, NC. She went to Campbell University, then earned her Masters of Library Science at North Carolina Central University. She is entering her 12th year as a librarian, and her 6th year with Wake County Public Schools. When not at school, Ms. Haithcock loves talking about books with her Bookstagram community, going to kickboxing and spin class, hiking, going to the Symphony, singing alto with the North Carolina Master Chorale, and planning where to travel to next.

Ms. Langenfeld
Mrs. Langenfeld is excited to return as the PE teacher at Hortons Creek. This is her 15th year of teaching and her Third in Wake County. She looks forward to continuing creating positive/meaningful relationships with all students, faculty and staff #OtherHawksMatter.

Ms. Pomes
Mrs. Pomes is super excited to be a HAWK for the 23-24 school year! She is originally from Long Island, NY where she studied at Queens College to complete her Master's Degree in Education. She and her husband, Anthony, moved to North Carolina in 2007. They currently call Chapel Hill home. They have two sons (Nicholas-8th grade and Vincent-5th grade) and a mini poodle (Marty McFly). Mrs. Pomes hopes her passion and excitement for science allow her students to grow their love of science as well. When she's not teaching she enjoys gardening, watching movies, baking, being with family, and traveling.

Ms. Rowdy
Ms. Rowdy is excited to start her 12th year as an educator! She was born and raised in North Carolina and is a proud NCSU alum (Go PACK!) where she earned a BS in Elementary Education with a Concentration in Science. She has also earned Master’s degrees in Curriculum & Instruction and Learning & Technology. She is most passionate about making learning memorable, meaningful and exciting! She enjoys painting, being at the beach, crafting, spending time with friends and family, and learning a new skill or hobby. She is thrilled about starting another year at Hortons Creek teaching STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math)!

Ms. Valencia
Ms. Valencia was born in Caracas, Venezuela. She began her music studies at a young age. Through music, she had the opportunity to travel and perform with different groups internationally; across the USA, Venezuela, Peru, Canada, Spain, Italy, Jordan, France, and much more. She has taught all levels: from Elementary, Middle, High School, Collegial. Today, she is happy to be back to teaching K-12! She loves playing in a Full Orchestra ensemble. She also enjoys performing contemporary works and incorporating contemporary repertoire within her teaching curriculum for young students and ensembles.She believes music programs are very important to our communities. It offers unlimited opportunities, teamwork, and many other life skills, tools, and beyond! Its also food for the soul!
