Ms. Williams

Hello! My name is Joannie Williams! This year will be my fourth year working at Yates Mill. During my first three years, I served as an ECS Instructional Assistant. This year, I will be serving as a Hearing-Impaired Instructional Assistant. I am also the After School Care Program Coordinator here at Yates.
I am a proud Lumbee Native American. I was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, and graduated from Athens Drive High School in 2013. I live in Cary, North Carolina, and am continuing my education at Wake Technical Community College. Working with children with disabilities has been a passion of mine since childhood. I have eight years of experience working as a Habilitation Technician Paraprofessional with Special Needs adults, as well as two years of experience volunteering with Miracle League of the Triangle. When I’m not working or volunteering, I enjoy spending time outside and exploring new places with my three dogs: Scoobie, Roxy, and Winston.
