Mrs. Lori Archer

Second Grade Teacher- Track 1

Lori Archer grew up in Ohio and taught kindergarten and first grade for six years before moving to North Carolina in 2004. She has taught first and second grade at Turner Creek Elementary since it opened in 2004 and has over 25 years of teaching experience.
 
Mrs. Archer is passionate about creating a safe and fun learning environment for her students. She believes in having a growth mindset and she is always exploring new learning opportunities for herself and her students.
 
Mrs. Archer is happily married to Shane Archer and is the proud mom of two TCE graduates, Aubrey and Alex. Her family also includes a very spoiled cat named Minnie.
In her free time, Mrs. Archer enjoys reading, scrapbooking, making cards and spending time with her friends and family. She absolutely loves teaching second grade and is excited for another year at TCE!

Mr. Kameron Monson

Second Grade Teacher- Track 1

Kameron Monson has been a teacher for 10 years and has taught 2nd, 5th, and 6th grade. Mr. Monson’s goal is to create a safe and inviting classroom community where students can explore new ideas, expand their knowledge, and learn useful life skills. He uses high expectations for students, positive behavioral supports, and hands-on learning to make his classroom fun and engaging while pushing students to grow. In his free time, you’ll find him spending time with his family, finding new ways to learn, reading a good book, and exploring the outdoors.

Ms. Hannah Trocchio

Second Grade Teacher- Track 3

Miss Trocchio is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She moved to North Carolina in 2023, making this her third year teaching at Turner Creek Elementary. She has been teaching for 6 years. She taught 1st grade, 2nd grade, and gifted education while in Pennsylvania. She teaches 2nd grade at Turner Creek.

She was a competitive swimmer throughout college and coached swimming for 5 years before moving. Miss Trocchio lives with her German Shepherd dog, Nugget. Family is very important to her, and she strives to create a classroom family environment. She is so excited for another year in 2nd grade!

Ms. Brooke Steiner

Second Grade Teacher- Track 4

Brooke Steiner has been teaching at Turner Creek Elementary almost 3 years. Prior to that, she gained valuable experience in the education field by substituting in New York. One of Ms. Steiners main goals as an educator is to create a welcoming and engaging environment for her students, where they feel safe and have fun while learning. Education is a passion of hers that extends beyond the classroom, as her family in New York includes many teachers or individuals working in school settings.
 
Outside of her professional life, she enjoys traveling, shopping, visiting the beach, and watching movies with friends. She recently moved into her own apartment and is looking forward to getting a kitten soon! On Monday, Thursday, and Sunday evenings, you can find her cheering on the New York Jets (Go Jets!!) during football season and supporting the Carolina Hurricanes (Go Canes!!) throughout the colder months.

Ms. Cathy Craven

Second Grade Teacher- Track 4

Ms. Craven is from Raleigh. She has an Undergraduate BA degree in Literature/Creative Writing from UNC Asheville. She received her Master of Arts in Teaching Elementary Ed from USC (South Carolina). Ms. Craven has taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 7th grade during her career. She never tires of seeing the world through her students' perspective. She loves to explore and learn with her students and knows that most of her success as an educator is gained from working with a multitude of young minds.

Ms. Craven loves to travel, especially to Italy. Rome is her favorite European destination, and she named her dog, Roman, after the eternal city. Ms. Craven loves to garden, read, walk, and swim. Her personal goal this year is to learn how to read and play music on her plastic Amazon very cheap keyboard with her 2nd graders!
