Ms. Alligood began her journey at Turner Creek as a special education assistant. After teaching second grade for a year, she is now entering her second year as the EBS 1 teacher. She is passionate about helping students reach their full potential and creating a positive, supportive learning environment. Outside of the classroom, she loves traveling and spending quality time with her amazing two kids.

Ms. Aneesha Rai

EBS-2 Instructional Assistant

Ms. Rai worked in a teacher position in India for 5 years. She started working at Turner Creek as an Instructional assistant in the year of 2023 and filled up long-term teacher's substitute position in the EBS classroom. She would love to continue helping students for the 2025-2026 School year. She is a loving and caring teacher who strongly believes in a nurturing, positive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere for all students.
 
Ms. Rai is happily married and is a proud mother of three children. She enjoys traveling, gardening, hiking, and spending time in nature.

Ms. Denise Denton

CCR Teacher

Ms. Denton has been a Special Education Teacher for 25 years.  She has been at Turner Creek Elementary for the past 18 years.  She was recognized as the 2015-2016 Teacher of the Year for Turner Creek Elementary and was a semi- finalist for Wake County.  She has taught in both self-contained Autism and Resource classrooms.  Ms. Denton strives to help ALL students grow academically, socially and emotionally.  She believes in seeing and growing the ABILITIES of ALL students. Ms. Denton LOVES celebrating student successes! 

Ms. Denton lives in Apex with her husband, daughters and 2 dogs.  All three of her daughters attended Turner Creek Elementary. Ms. Denton enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and spending time outdoors.  She enjoys spending time at the beach and the mountains.

Ms. Donna McCallum

CCR Teacher

Ms. McCallum has been teaching for Wake County Schools since 2005. She has taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade throughout her 13 years at Turner Creek. Currently, Ms. McCallum works in our Student Services department with Special Education serving all grade levels. Ms. McCallum strives to support students in their social emotional growth as well as to support students academically to help them to be successful. Ms. McCallum believes that students thrive in a nurturing, positive and inclusive classroom.
 
As a youth she was influenced by many great teachers and in high school, Ms. McCallum was the President of the Future Teachers of America for 3 years.  Her passion for education continued to grow as a student at NC State.
 
Ms. McCallum is a native North Carolinian.  She and her husband, Scott have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren.  You will often find them enjoying the mountains and beaches of North Carolina or spending time with their family.
 
Ms. McCallum was recognized as the 2018-2019 Turner Creek ‘Teacher of the Year’ and the Town of Cary ‘Honor a Teacher’ finalist.

Ms. Kelly Fuller

CCR Teacher

Kelly Fuller began her career as a special education teacher over 30 years ago. She has taught at Turner Creek since it first opened in 2004.  She previously taught at Morrisville Elementary and Davis Drive Elementary.  She believes that you should focus on the positives; focus on what each student can do and the growth they have made.   

Ms. Fuller grew up in York, Pennsylvania but after 30 + years considers North Carolina her home.  She has an adult daughter, Kylie who also attended Turner Creek from Kindergarten through 5th grade. Her hobbies include reading, puzzles and spending time in her craft room with her dog Dasher close by.

Ms. Megan Jacobson

Speech Language Pathologist

Megan Jacobson has been the speech language pathologist at Turner Creek Elementary School since July 2022. She has worked for Wake County Public School System since November 2016, and prior to that, worked in a private speech language pathology practice in Apex, NC.
 
Ms. Jacobson went to speech therapy as a child, where she discovered her love of communication. She had the privilege of doing her first clinical placement with the childhood speech therapist who inspired her. Ms. Jacobson’s hope is to help her students reach their goals in life as effective and confident communicators.
 
Ms. Jacobson is a Cary/Raleigh native and loves this community. She enjoys reading, playing games, and spending time with her family and friends. She has two wonderful rescues (a fluffy Pomeranian and a dilute calico) who give her lots of love and vacuuming opportunities.

Ms. Kaitlyn Cook

Occupational Therapist

Kaitlyn Cook has been working as an occupational therapist in Wake County since November 2021, which is about four years. After college, Ms. Cook moved from Rochester, NY, to enjoy the warmer weather. This will be her third year at Turner Creek. Her passion lies in helping children achieve their full potential and achieve their occupational therapy goals.

Outside of school, Kaitlyn enjoys reading, paddleboarding at a nearby lake, and hanging out with friends and family.
