I'm thrilled to be part of the Lufkin Road Middle community as your 8th grade school counselor. I've been helping students navigate the ins and outs of school life and I absolutely love what I do. I received my Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Mental Health from the University of South Florida. I later completed my training in School Counseling at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.
When I'm not in counselor mode, you can probably find me playing tennis, running or spending time outside. My husband, children and I love Apex and call the community here home.

I am entering my 10th year as a School Counselor. I love working with Middle School students and helping them grow and navigate the middle school years. I have worked at both the elementary and middle school level in Northern Virginia and North Carolina schools in diverse settings. I received my undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University in Psychology and liked it so much I returned there for my master’s degree. I received my Master’s degree in both School Counseling and Community Counseling.
I love to be active by cycling, playing tennis, walking, and working out. I love walking with my husband and my dog Zoey. I also enjoy cooking and trying new recipes for my boys to sample and critique.
I am excited to be at Lufkin and look forward to meeting and working with the students and parents in this awesome community!
