Welcome Back, YMES Family!

I am so excited to open another school year as the Assistant Principal of this amazing school! As a passionate school administrator, I truly value building meaningful relationships that support the success of every student.

I began my teaching career in Pittsburgh, PA and relocated to the Raleigh area in 2008. Over the past 17 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving this wonderful district as both a teacher and an Assistant Principal. As a leader, my work is centered on ensuring that ALL YMES students receive rigorous instruction and high-quality learning experiences each and every day.

Outside of my YMES family, I'm very close to my own family and love spending time with them—often traveling between North Carolina and Virginia to visit. I live in Apex, and when I'm not working, I enjoy being outdoors, working out, practicing yoga, and, of course, spoiling my sweet Cairn Terrier, Buddy.

I couldn’t be happier to continue working alongside the Yates Mill Elementary community. I’m committed to doing what’s best for our kids, every single day. In the words of the great Rita Pierson, “Every child deserves a champion—an adult who will never give up on them.” I strive to be that champion for our students and am so proud to serve such a caring and vibrant community.

This school year is going to be incredible! Let’s work together to bring our school mission to life and ensure that all students receive the education they deserve. Together, we can do anything. Here’s to an amazing 2025-2026 school year!
