Hello! I am the Literacy Coach at Lincoln Heights Magnet Elementary School. I support kindergarten-second grade teachers with Letterland implementation while also being a schoolwide resource for best practices in the area of Literacy. A large part of my role is to work closely with second and third grade teachers and students. I offer professional learning experiences for our staff and keep them abreast of the latest curriculum updates. On a personal note, I have been married to my husband Nate for eight years, who is also an educator. We have two children, Erin, 3, and Blake, 7 months. We enjoy spending time with our family at the beach and attending sporting events. I look forward to a wonderful school year!

I am excited to begin to 2018-2019 school year at Lincoln Heights! This is my second year working as an instructional coach at LHECMES. As an instructional coach, I support fifth grade teachers and students as well as coordinate volunteer programs through our magnet grant. I grew up in Raleigh and attended elementary, middle, and high school in Wake County. After graduating from the University of South Carolina in 2010, I returned to WCPSS to begin my teaching career. This is my ninth year working in Wake County. I taught fifth grade for six years at Lacy Elementary before pursuing my Masters in School Administration from NC State University (Go Pack)! I completed a full-time administrative internship at Lynn Road Elementary before coming to Lincoln Heights. On a more personal note, my fiance Jamie and I are excited about our upcoming wedding in November. In my free time I like to read, go on family beach trips, and attend Wolfpack and Gamecock football games!
