- Service: Complete a minimum of 20 hours of community service each school year

Coach to 5K; A Run & Walk Club
Advisor: Ms. Walter, Dean of Counseling and Student Services, mwalter@wcpss.netRemind: @nwarunwalkClub Description: The NWCCA Couch to 5K: A Run/Walk Club is open to any student who wants to add exercise to their routine and/or any student who currently has an exercise regimen in place. Club members will select a virtual walk/run destination and we will individually log miles until we meet our destination and/or the timeline elapses -- all working towards completing our virtual travel together. There are many benefits of implemeting exercise into your life routine. Regular physical activity helps students succeed in school and in life. Being active has been shown to increase concentration and focus, improve classroom attendance and behavior, raise academic performance, boost energy, improve mood, relieve stress, prevent weight gain, and strengthen bones. Creative Writing Club

Club Description:The purpose of this club is to support students who are actively writing independently and are seeking editorial support. The genres can range from: poetry, short stories, playwriting, journalistic style, and/or memoirs. Students will also be given the opportunity to write spotlights for the yearbook. Latinx Achievers Program

The club also exists to have a safe space to talk about ethnicity, culture, and the implications of a Latinx identity in work and education environments. Meditation is about working with the mind and training in awareness. Simply working with the mind leads to an improved sense of presence, calm, attentiveness, and an increase in valued human qualities such as empathy and patience.The Mindfulness Meditation will focus on our breathing, a sensation in our body, or a particular object outside of us. The point of this type of meditation is to focus strongly on one point and continually bring your attention back to that focal point when it wanders.Our meditation is non-religious meditation. Puzzle Club

Club Description:Puzzle Club is a group of students who meet on club days to unwind from the stress of their high school and college courses while still exercising their brains! Science Olympiad
