Principal's Phone Message

Happy Friday, Aversboro families.  This is Mrs. Stuart calling with a few important updates and reminders.

Recently, a survey was sent out through Class Dojo for parents with students in grades K-4.  This is a brief survey that can be completed very quickly and will be so helpful for us as we begin planning for the upcoming school year.  Thank you to our parents who have already taken the survey.  If you have not done so already, make sure you complete one survey for each student!

Don’t forget that ALL students will be able to pick up any remaining items from the classroom, their yearbooks, and 5th grade tshirts on either Thursday, June 4 between the times of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm or Friday, June 5 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm.  It is very important that all families plan to come through the bus loop on one of these two days so that you can collect your belongings.

We will celebrate our 5th graders who will be transitioning to middle school with a parade at the school on Thursday, June 11 at 10:00 am.  Stay tuned for more details that will be messaged out through Class Dojo.

More details on both events will be forthcoming.  I thank you in advance for understanding that for our end of year events - picking up student belongings and the 5th grade parade - it will be imperative that we adhere to the COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines that have been issued by the state.  Rest assured, we understand that this has been an emotional time for all of us, and I know that we will all be excited to see one another.  Because of the limit on mass gatherings and the 6 ft. social distancing requirements that are in place, during both events, students and families must remain in their vehicle at all times.  This is for everyone’s safety.  We will provide more specific directions for both events, but I wanted for you to start thinking about these guidelines as we move forward.

As always, I truly appreciate all that you do to support teaching and learning at Aversboro Elementary School.  We love our students, and we love our families.  Take care, and have a wonderful weekend!
