First In Fitness
Students are tested at the beginning of the year in four core areas of physical fitness: speed, strength, flexibility, and agility. These events include the 1 mile run, shuttle run, standing long jump, speed jump rope, 100 meter dash, and pullups. Each grade level, grades 3-5, will have a boy and girl representative in each event that will participate in the county wide First in Fitness event in the Spring. During the Fall, students selected for this team will come to the gym and train for their specific event 1-2 times per week before school. Students will compete against all other elementary schools in their region at the First in Fitness event in the Spring! Start getting those kids moving to prepare.
