Heroes Read Program

What: 

• Volunteer one hour a week to read with a WCPSS student.

• Inspire a love of books and reading. 

• Read one-on-one with students. 

• This is not a tutoring program- the goal is for students to have fun with books! 

• Heroes Read students receive books for their home libraries. 

• Volunteer training is provided. 

Where: 

• Wildwood Forest Magnet Elementary: 8401 Wild Wood Forest Dr, Raleigh NC 27616

When: 

• October 2023 - May 2024 

• Heroes Read takes place during school hours 

• Time commitment- thirty minutes to one hour per week 

• Volunteers accepted anytime!
