Ms. Stephanie Moore
I began my teaching career at Apex Elementary where I taught 2nd grade for 10 years. After my husband, Roy, and I welcomed twins (Wes and Leah) in 2006, I stayed home with them until they went to transitional Kindergarten. At that time I was eager to get back into the classroom so I began working part-time at West Lake Elementary in 2011 as a Literacy Intervention Teacher and Coach. I am so excited that the next step in my teaching career has led me to Oakview Elementary!
I grew up in McAdenville, Christmas Town USA (http://www.mcadenville-christmastown.com), a small town outside of Charlotte. After graduating high school, I attended Peace College and received a BA in Communications in their first 4-year graduating class while also attending Meredith College working on my K-6 Teaching License. After a couple of years into my teaching career I had a strong desire to improve my literacy instruction; therefore, I returned to Meredith and received my Master of Education in Reading. In 2005-2006, I pursued my National Board Certification. I became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2006 and renewed my certification in 2015. I look forward to meeting the wonderful families that will become a part of the Oakview Elementary family!
