Degrees and Certifications:

BA in Communications from Peace College K-6 Teaching License from Meredith College Master of Education in Reading from Meredith College National Board Certified Teacher

Ms. Stephanie Moore

I began my teaching career at Apex Elementary where I taught 2nd grade for 10 years.  After my husband, Roy, and I welcomed twins (Wes and Leah) in 2006, I stayed home with them until they went to transitional Kindergarten.  At that time I was eager to get back into the classroom so I began working part-time at West Lake Elementary in 2011 as a Literacy Intervention Teacher and Coach.  I was so excited to continue my teaching career by helping open Oakview Elementary School in 2016.

I grew up in McAdenville, Christmas Town USA (, a small town outside of Charlotte.  After graduating high school, I attended Peace College and received a BA in Communications in their first 4-year graduating class while also attending Meredith College working on my K-6 Teaching License.  After a couple of years into my teaching career I had a strong desire to improve my literacy instruction; therefore, I returned to Meredith College and received my Master of Education in Reading. In 2005-2006, I pursued my National Board Certification.  I became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2006 and renewed my certification in 2015. I consider myself a lifelong learner!

When I'm not teaching, I love spending time with Roy, Wes (15), Leah (15), and Lola (🐶 4).  We enjoy all water activities, watching NC State sports and the Carolina Hurricanes, and traveling.  I also enjoy spending time with friends, bible studies, reading, exercising, and a good cup of coffee.

I look forward to working with the students and families at Oakview this school year!
