    Rising 7th and 8th Grade Elective Registration

    Starting March 15th, Ms. Nickels (6th grade counselor) and Ms. Font (7th grade counselor) will be meeting with students to assist them with course selection for the next school year.  Please take the time to review the course selection sheets with your student to guide you in your conversation regarding elective options for next year. Please feel free to contact your grade level counselor if there are any questions.

    Rising 9th Grade Course Selection

    The window is open to register for high school courses in PowerSchool. Ms. Cooper will be in Social Studies classes the week of March 15th.

    Students can also Join my Google Meet during Lightning Time or lunch (tcooper5) on March 4th, 5th, 8th or 9th. There are limited spots available for one on one sessions on the March 17th asynchronous day.     We are holding our open houses for our rising 6th graders in the coming weeks.  We will see you virtually on google meet.  Please sign in with the code LufkinOpenHouse.  Following are the dates and times that we will see you at 6 p.m.:

  • Academy of Engineering & Advanced Manufacturing at Apex Friendship- application

    The application for the Academy of Engineering & Advanced Manufacturing at Apex Friendship is open for any students that are based at Apex Friendship High School. 
     
    The application window will remain open until March 31.

  • WCPSS's 3rd Annual Young Women's Summit, I am Worthy, We are Worth, Everyone is Worthy

    The Office of Equity Affairs is hosting their 3rd annual Young Women's Summit.  The Young Women's Summit seeks to provide young women in 7th-12th grade with a safe and welcoming space where they will realize their unique capability and potential and will support, inspire, and provide enrichment for young women across Wake County. This year, the event will take place virtually over 3 Saturdays (March 6, 13, 20 from 11 am - 1 pm).   • Student Connection Lunches

    Counselors will be hosting "Student Connection Lunches" M/W/F of each week from 11:45-12:45 starting February 1.  This is an opportunity to have some fun and connect with other Lufkin Road students.  Students can find the google meet codes in their grade level google classrooms.   The first week we will be doing trivia games.  Come join us!

  • Spring Semester 2021

    Hello Lufkin students! We’re excited to get started with our Spring semester. Your schedules are being finalized and will be available Monday, 1/18/2021 to you in PowerSchool. Here is how to access your classes:

     

    1. Log in to your WakeID here: WakeID 

                        Need help? Click here

     

    1. Go to PowerSchool to find your Spring schedule.
      • Log on to NCEDCloud (homebase) using your student number.
      • Click the PowerSchool icon.
      • Click “My Schedule” found in the left column.
      • If you switched plans between Virtual Academy or Plan B Transition, or if your schedule had to be changed, you will see your first semester classes on your schedule as well. These will drop off on Monday 1/25 when our new semester starts.

     

    1. Join your Google Classrooms.
      • You will find an email from each of your teachers inviting you to join their Google Classrooms. Click the “Outlook (student)” icon to access your email.
