Smith Elementary's educational mission is to develop a positive and nurturing learning community that helps develop inquisitive students with strong social-emotional skills. Students who participate in our IB PYP magnet program get priority to continute their IB education through 12th grade.
Students who participate in our Spanish Dual-Language Immersion magnet program get priority to continue their DL education through 12th grade.
All students at Smith participate in our International Baccalaureatte PYP magnet theme. IB PYP focuses on inquiry-based learning that incorporates global awareness through investigation. LEARN MORE
Rising kindergarteners have the option to apply to our Spanish Dual-Language Immersion program. Students in this program will receive 50% of core instruction in Spanish and to develop fluency in both English and Spanish. These students will still get to participate in the IB PYP theme.
