PTA Meeting will be Tuesday, May 18 at 6:30pm!  This is our final PTA meeting of the school year.  I am so proud of all that our PTA has accomplished – virtually – since March 2020 when the pandemic began.  Their support has continued, and our students and teachers benefit from that!

Please join us via Zoom at

EOG/EOC End of Year Testing begins on May 27.  The draft testing schedule is available here.  As a reminder we are not permitted to interrupt the testing setting and are not able to check students out of school until the school-wide testing session concludes.  Additionally, FitBits and SmartWatches are not permitted in the testing session.  Please have students leave those items at home.

8th Grade Promotion Event  With the help of our marvelous PTA we are planning a drive through promotion event for our soon-to-be high school freshmen!  The event is planned for Thursday, June 10 and more information will be sent to 8th grade families!

Instrument Return – Band and Orchestra Students  All in-person students who are using a school owned instrument (and book, if provided) should plan to return the instrument and book to school on May 24 (A day students) or 25 (B day students). All virtual academy students should return their instruments and books to the main office between May 24 and June 4.  The main office is open from 7:30am – 4:00pm.

End of Year Logistics

WCPSS Technology Return Guidance

Any student who has a WCPSS-issued hotspot must return it to their school by the end of the school year. Hotspots will be disabled after the last day of school.  West Millbrook will collect hotspots at the front office, June 7th, 8th, and 9th 8:30am -2:00pm.

Students who have a WCPSS-issued Chromebook and will be attending a WCPSS school next year will keep their Chromebook through the transition to the 2021-22 school year. Students are not required to return their Chromebooks to their school at the end of this school year, even if they are transferring or advancing to another WCPSS school. Students who are graduating or leaving WCPSS are required to return all devices to their school on or before their last day.

Bring Back Books Bash

We are getting close to the end of the school year.  It is time to return Language and Literature novels that have not been returned.  If your student is in Plan A, make sure they bring the outstanding book to school and give it to their Language and Literature teacher by May 21.  If your student is in VA, please drop-off all novels, labeled with your student's name, from May 10th-21st from 8:30am- 2pm at the main office.  We are still accepting novels that may not have been returned from the 2019-20 school year.

EL Text Titles and Cost

A fine will be added to your student's account for any novel that is not returned.
