Sophomore Specific Information

There is a new state law that requires current Sophomores [and beyond] to complete a career development plan. A completed career development plan is required for grade level promotion by the end of the year.  Plans are underway to have HHS sophomores complete the following requirements that are housed by Major Clarity, a career platform that all students already have access to via their Wake ID portal:

  • Personality Assessment

  • Career Explorations

  • Academic Course Plan

  • ACP with Major Clarity(career plan - 3 pages with signature which has the pieces above in it)

Timeline for Sophomore CDP initial steps and upcoming homeroom announcements:

  • 10.28.24--announcement for 10th to have the personality assessment completed by 11.4.24

  • 11.4.24--announcement for 10th to complete the career explorations & select a favorite (add yellow star) by 11.18.24

  • 11.18.24--announcement for 10th students to choose a pathway in Major Clarity by 11.25.24

Slides to be shared during homeroom with weekly steps.

We would like all 10th graders to have the above steps completed in major clarity by Nov. 25. Information regarding the next steps for CDP will be forthcoming.

**Parents, please ensure that your correct email is on file in PowerSchool. We will need your email addresses regarding CDP.**
