A barrier is defined as a circumstance or obstacle that keeps people apart or prevents communication or progress. Now more than ever, we seem to be surrounded by these walls—both fault and no fault of our own. Us vs. them seems to be a popular theme lately—perhaps having a little too comfortable presence in our everyday lives.  The Heritage Herald’s 3rd-annual podcast series explores ways we can break down these barriers that seem to have encumbered what is most treasured about being human—And while that may be relative, we, as a staff, feel like empathy and understanding is a good place to start. Enjoy!
