Hello Huskies,

 

AP exams continue through next week for over 700 students.  AP English Language and Composition and AP World History exams are off-campus.  There is critical information to know and tasks to complete to ensure access to exams.  Learn more here

 

HHS will host a spring employment fair on Tuesday, May 9. A variety of employers will be promoting part-time, full-time, summer employment, and internships. Students can click this LINK to learn more about the companies attending. Parents, if you know of a business that is interested in participating, please share this registration link. Questions? We are now preparing for our Awards Day on June 2.  If your student has been recognized for an accomplishment or achievement this year from a community-based organization, we’d like to know about it.  Complete this form at tinyurl.com/heritagehsawards or here by Monday, May 15.

 

For the Fall 2023 semester, Wake Tech’s Eagle Advantage Book Program is being offered to students in degree programs, including dual-enrollment students in the Career & College Promise program, at no charge! Graduation will be here before we know it!  Access Senior Send-Off slides hereIf you anticipate the need for wheelchair access for a guest, sign language interpreter or language translator for the June 13 graduation ceremony, email lweaver2@wcpss.net with details of the need as soon as possible, no later than Monday, May 22, to ensure accommodations can be made.

Ms. Waldrum, our Financial Aid Advisor, will be on campus for the last day this school year on Tuesday, May 9. She is available to answer any questions students and their parents may have regarding the FAFSA and financial aid award letters from universities. Make an appointment with Ms. Waldrum by contacting Ms. Savage at bbsavage@wcpss.net or 570-5600 ext. 20712.

 

Messages from the PTSA:

Seniors - PTSA scholarship applications are due TODAY! for those attending a 2 year tech/college school, entrepreneurs, and those attending a 4 year university. The application can be found here.

 

Senior families who ordered yard signs - Distribution will begin on Tuesday, May 16 after school (courtyard exit for student parking lot), Thursday after school (front of school entrance) and Sunday, May 21 from 5-7 pm at the school front entrance. If you did not order a sign for your graduate and we have extras available, we will make an announcement on May 22. 

 

The next regular PTSA meeting will be held May 9 at 6:30 pm in the HHS Media Center. A short General Membership meeting will be held May 15 at 2:30 pm in the Auditorium prior to the faculty meeting. We will elect the approved slate of officers for the 23-24 school year and vote on a membership dues increase.
