Principal's Weekly Message

Posted by Scott Lyons on 6/19/2020 1:45:00 PM

Hello, Huskies,

Congratulations to all of the Class of 2020 graduates.  We hope and wish only the best for each of our graduates.  Transcripts will be sent from CFNC beginning June 24.  As a courtesy, Heritage High will also mail a hardcopy as a backup method to colleges graduates indicated on the graduate intention survey.  Please email pjenks@wcpss.net if there has been a change in the college or university.  Transcripts will also be uploaded to the NCAA eligibility center.

We have concluded textbook drop off and yearbook pick up opportunities until we return in August.  If you’ve missed picking up your yearbook, they will be distributed to you when school begins again.

Credit recovery summer school begins on July 7.  Applications are available online on the academic page of the website under the summer school tab and should be submitted by next Friday, June 26 either by email to kferrell@wcpss.net or fax to 919-670-4212, attention “Summer School.”

Students taking NCVPS courses will receive usernames and passwords via the student’s WCPSS email next week.  Students should be prepared and ready to begin on July 7, the first day of summer session.

Students planning to take CCP courses in the fall semester are reminded to email a copy of the schedule to dcwilliams@wcpss.net.

Our building remains closed until further notice.  If you need assistance, please leave a message at our main number, 919-570-5600, which is checked regularly.

I hope everyone has an amazing summer.  Please take time to relax with your family and friends to recharge for next year.  I will send out messages over the summer as decisions are made about school for next year.  I cannot wait until we can all be under one roof again safely.

Warm regards,

Scott Lyons
