New Temporary Fire Safety Procedures in Place
Starting Wednesday, July 17, all WCPSS-owned schools will operate under a temporary “fire watch” due to discovered issues in fire alarm panels. While these changes did not affect the alarm and sprinkler systems' response to fire, they do require us to work with third-party fire inspectors to test and certify all fire alarm systems on all our campuses, and to correct any adjustments that were improperly made. Designated staff will continuously monitor buildings for fire signs to ensure safety until all systems are certified. Read more about these procedures and our safety measures on our website.
