Our Early College programs help students earn college credit – tuition free! – as they also work toward their high school diploma.

The application period is Oct. 12-Dec. 20. 

How to Apply

You can access the application at beginning Oct. 12. Applications must be started by December 16 and submitted no later than Dec. 20.


Applications are not first come, first served, but don’t wait too long!


Your application must include a student-written essay, recommendations from teachers and administration and a review of previous grades and standardized test scores. 


Students are selected based on their application scores and seat availability.

About Early Colleges

Students who graduate from an Early College programs can begin college with up to two years of college credit under their belt. Some programs also offer certification in specific career areas for those students who choose to enter the workforce upon high school graduation.


Two of our Early Colleges, the Wake Young Men’s and Wake Young Women’s leadership academies, start in 6th grade.
