Good afternoon Panda Families!

I hope that everyone enjoyed the long weekend.  In addition to sharing this week's PTA Panda Pulse that I encourage everyone to read, I wanted to make you aware of some adjustments that we will be making to afternoon carpool beginning tomorrow.  (Walkers will continue to dismiss as they have been.)

In an effort to increase the efficiency and improve the flow of afternoon carpool, we will be implementing some changes beginning tomorrow.  Most of the changes will occur within the building with our process of getting students from classrooms to their cars.  We do want you to be prepared that students will now be exiting the building from the front of the carpool line and walking back to their cars.  (They will no longer be exiting the building from the main entrance.)  There are a few areas in which we would like to ask for your support with regards to afternoon carpool. 

- Please stay in your car and remain alert.  Parents listening to staff directions, looking for their children, and avoiding distractions will help us ensure a safe and efficient process for everyone. 

- Please be patient.  Students, staff, and families will need to get used to the new flow (though it will be familiar to those who were at Penny Road pre-COVID).  As with any new process, there will be a learning curve and it will probably not be smoother or faster immediately.

- Dismissal begins at 3:45 and we ask that families using carpool are on site no later than 4:00.
