Principal's Message
Dear Ballentine Family,
It has been a joy and honor to serve this community as your assistant principal over the past 9 years. Together, we have navigated many challenges and celebrated many accomplishments. It has been exciting to watch our learning community grow and change through the years.
This evening, the WCPSS School Board approved my appointment as the principal of Ballentine Elementary School, effective September 21, 2022. This appointment comes with great excitement and honor for me.
I recognize the significance of this role. The Ballentine Elementary School community deserves a leader who is able to continue the tradition of excellence that our school has maintained. I am dedicated and committed to doing whatever it takes to continue to move our school forward and be the best we can be for our students, staff, and our families.
At Ballentine, we have worked hard to create an environment that maximizes the academic and social emotional progress of our students. As families, you have trusted us with your precious children. As your principal, I will remain dedicated to ensuring that we meet the needs of each one of our students and families. Every child and family deserves the very best that we have to offer.
Transitioning from my previous role of assistant principal, to my new assignment as principal within our school will require changes and adjustments for all of us, including myself, staff, students, and families. One of the things that will certainly not change is my unwavering commitment to our community.
Ballentine family, I cannot “thank you” enough for your support over the years. You have supported me, our staff, your students, and this entire school in tremendous ways. I am humbled at this opportunity to continue to serve you as your principal. And I look forward with great anticipation and hope, at all that is in store for our learning community in the coming years.
With gratitude,
Greg Hackmann
Principal
