Good Sunday evening everyone and welcome to the Sunday family huddle.

 

Over the summer when we agreed upon the school theme for the year, One Team, One Goal; we were in the midst of enjoying the exciting Summer Olympic games and one thing's for sure, nothing brings people together like an exciting sporting event.  It doesn't matter where we're from or what languages we speak, for the love of the game; we are one.

 

Last week, our very first ever soccer match was family engagement at its best. While we have major academic goals to accomplish, we also want to carve out time for fun and to get to know each other so if you were here for the soccer match, we do hope you felt welcome, relaxed and met someone new. 

 

There's way too many to name but we thank you all for playing a part in making this event a huge success. 

 

Tomorrow is a Teacher Workday, as you know, so we'll see you on Tuesday. Have a wonderful evening, everyone and remember at Yates Mill, we're one team, accomplishing one goal.

 

 

Buen domingo a todos y bienvenidos a la reunión familiar del domingo.

 

Durante el verano, cuando acordamos el tema escolar para el año, Un equipo, un objetivo, estábamos en medio de disfrutar de los emocionantes Juegos Olímpicos de verano y una cosa es segura: nada une a las personas como un evento deportivo emocionante. No importa de dónde seamos o qué idiomas hablemos, por amor al juego, somos uno.

 

La semana pasada, nuestro primer partido de fútbol fue una experiencia familiar en su máxima expresión. Tenemos importantes objetivos académicos que lograr, pero también queremos encontrar tiempo para divertirnos y conocernos, así que si estuvo aquí para el partido de fútbol, ​​esperamos que se haya sentido bienvenido, relajado y haya conocido a alguien nuevo.

 

Hay demasiados para nombrar, pero les agradecemos a todos por participar en hacer de este evento un gran éxito.

 

Mañana es un día de trabajo para maestros, como saben, así que los veremos el martes. Que tengan una maravillosa noche y recuerden que en Yates Mill somos un equipo que logra un objetivo.
