WakeID login update

The WakeID Portal allows students to access several WCPSS tools and applications including Google, Canvas, and Microsoft 365. Soon, the WakeID login page will be updated to simplify the sign-in process so that users no longer need to select a user type (e.g. staff or student) from the dropdown.
This update will be completed in phases, starting Sunday, March 30, with a few applications at a time. During this transition, some applications may still display the user type dropdown until they are updated. Once the overall process is complete, the user type dropdown will be permanently removed for all applications.
What do I need to know?

The WakeID Portal and apps/tools in the Portal will not change.

To log into the WakeID Portal, students should:

Enter their Student ID or WakeID and password. >> Click Continue to Log In.

What should I do if my student experiences an issue logging into the WakeID Portal?
We do not anticipate issues; however, if your student is unable to log into WakeID Portal, follow these steps in order until the issue is resolved:

Fully shut down the device (do not just close the lid).

Contact your student’s school for support.
