SALAMANDER NEWS 9/8/24

Dear Salem Families,

Thank you to all of our parents and family members who participated in our fall PTA Fundraiser “Straight to the Salamanders”! Rather than ask families to sell anything or share profit with a third-party vendor to do a “thon” of any kind, the PTA collected donations that will come directly to the PTA, minus very minimal processing fees. As always, we remain incredibly thankful for the effort of our Salem PTA!

We sure do appreciate those of you who have already completed the Salamander Shoutouts! Each month, we’ll intentionally highlight a different group of staff members. You can use THIS google form to submit your Salamander Shoutouts, which will be shared at the next staff meeting. Thank you for helping us highlight the GREAT educators on our campus!

This year Salem Elementary is participating in the Reflections art program with the theme "Accepting Imperfections." Families can learn more about this fantastic program HERE.. Additionally, Sept. 9th-15th is National Arts in Education Week! This is a great opportunity to highlight our outstanding art education program at Salem Elementary and we hope to have many students participate in the Reflections program!

As always, we LOVE having volunteers in our building. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please make sure you view THIS information about the volunteer approval process for WCPSS schools. If you were approved as a volunteer during the 23-24 school year, then the renewal process can be completed between July and October for the 24-25 school year.

April 17th - Spring Fling from 5:00 - 6:30

May 7th AND 8th - Night At The Arts from (Art Show 5:00 - 6:00 and Performance 6:30 - 7:15)
