6-2-24 Principal’s Weekly Message

• Last day of regular classes will be Monday, June 3rd.  

• Final exam week is quickly approaching for all students.  For important information about the final exam schedule please review the Final Exam Information link.  

• For students who failed one or more of their core classes this year, summer school may be an option to help them get back on track.  Please see Summer School 2024 for more information about this free opportunity.  

• Graduation is just around the corner for the Class of 2024.  We wrapped up our graduation rehearsal on Friday, May 24th.  If your senior missed the rehearsal, they need to see Mr. Bryant this week to discuss their options.  If your child does not wish to attend the graduation ceremony, they should stop by the front office to let the administration know.  Parents of graduating students should review the information found at Class of 2024 Graduation Information.

• Career and College Promise (CCP)

The North Carolina Career and College Promise program is an opportunity for high school students to take tuition-free dual enrollment classes through a community college. Most students participate in the program as juniors and seniors. The Wake Tech CCP enrollment cycle for Fall 2024 opened on Friday, March 1st and course registration opened April 11th. Interested students should begin by reviewing the eligibility requirements and watching Wake Tech’s CCP information video. If you’re interested in taking a course in the fall, please plan to complete enrollment as soon as possible and let your counselor know. The enrollment forms and self registration deadlines for Summer are now closed. Fall deadlines are in July, but do not wait as courses fill up and have waitlists. Students that have taken courses or completed the enrollment process before will need to complete the continuing student form. If you have any questions, please contact Student Services.
