6/11 Principal's Message
Alston Ridge Families:
The flurry of activity at the end of each school year is an exciting time. This brief notice highlights a few opportunities in the next few days:
Tomorrow--Saturday, Help Make our School Beautiful
Alston Ridge families, including rising kindergarten families, are invited to come to school tomorrow, Saturday, June 12, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. to join other families and community members for spring cleaning—to spread mulch, pull weeds, prune bushes, and walk the grounds. No gardening and landscaping experience is necessary, and we hope families will come out for a few hours with our Parent Teacher Association (PTA). RSVP via the Sign Up Genius (https://bit.ly/2TZ7r0a) or show up to help tomorrow morning. If you have tools to help, bring those too!
2021-2022 School Supply Lists & 1st Day School Supplies
1st Day School Supplies (https://1stdayschoolsupplies.com/kits.php?sid=1177462) has prepared complete school supply packages for Alston Ridge ES families to be able to get the full supply list delivered directly to the classroom for the first day of the new year. Supply lists are available for in-person learning, and a separate supply list for Virtual Academy families of recommended supplies. The final day to order is Tuesday, June 15. We encourage families to consider this cost-effective and safe way to get all student supplies at 1 time. All supplies will be waiting for students in their classroom on their first day—delivered by members of the school’s PTA
Parent and Student Survey
We want to hear from you! Please take a few moments to complete an End of Year survey. These parent wishes and feedback will be shared with your child’s teacher so that they can begin the year knowing more about how we can support your child, and how you would like to partner with our school.
We are also asking students to tell us about what they are most excited about or worried about for next year. Below are the links to both the parent and student end of year survey. Your voice is important, and your child's next teacher will value your thoughts and feedback as we kick off the new school year!
We can’t wait to see you at school—tomorrow for Spring Cleaning, for upcoming kindergarten and Grade 5 celebrations, and for a return to school for the new year in July and August. Please let us know your questions and any ways that we can be of assistance.
Sincerely,
Niko
