The following are a few notes and reminders that are relevant to the coming weeks:
Parent Volunteers for End-of-Grade Testing
From our school’s Testing Coordinator: “We are in need of hallway monitors for EOG testing. EOG testing at Alston Ridge will take place on the following days:
Tracks 2, 3, & 4
Grade 3
June 17: ELA
June 18: Math
Tracks 2, 3, & 4
Grades 4 & 5
June 20: ELA
June 21: Math
June 24: Science
If you are able to volunteer your time, please Sign Up to let us know the day(s) you are available. If you have any questions, please contact Erika Emelle at 919-544-2474 x20161 or by email at eemelle@wcpss.net. Thank you so much!
Hallway monitors will need to arrive to school by 9:10 am on testing days and should be registered as volunteers. Testing should be completed by 1 pm on ELA testing days and 12 pm on math and science testing days.
As a hallway monitor, you can read a book, draw, knit, or work on a computer/electronic device. We simply ask that you make sure hallways are quiet to ensure that we have the best testing environment for our students. Volunteers will also be provided walkie-talkies to contact the testing coordinator or office if needed.
