Good Morning and welcome to Spring! It has been another great week at Alston Ridge as our students and faculty learn and grow together. A few reminders and announcements:


Track Change Request Window

Monday, March 25th – Friday, April 5th families may request a track change for the 2019-2020 school year. The ability to honor track requests will continue to be very limited. A parent/guardian may make a request online ( or in person. Requests will not be prioritized on a first come, first serve basis. Track change requests will be further limited by regional reassignment related to the opening of Parkside Elementary School.


Alston Ridge ES PTA Board Interest Meeting

​​​​​​​Tuesday, April 2nd from 6-7 pm--Come and learn about how to support teachers and students through the Alston Ridge PTA Board at the upcoming 2019-2020 ARES PTA Board Interest Meeting. Your time and talent are incredibly valuable to the achievement of our students and our ability to retain an outstanding faculty.


Before & After-Care 2019-2020

In order to accommodate the demand for After School Care at Alston Ridge, the new year will bring changes to the After School Care program. For students in grades K-2 who stay at Alston Ridge ES for the After School Care program, the program will be administered by the YMCA. For students in grades 3-5 who stay at Alston Ridge ES for the After School Care program, the program will be administered by the WCPSS After School Care program. The Before School Care program will continue to be administered by the WCPSS Before School Care Program for student in all grades. Rates and registration information for K-2 and 3-5 age groups will be communicated as soon as available.


TGA Spring Tennis & Golf Programs

TGA Premier Sports provides Tennis and Golf lessons at Alston Ridge ES on Tuesday afternoons beginning on April 2nd. If you are interested in your student participating in the program, find more information and register at the TGA website (
