3/14 Principal Message

Alston Ridge Parent-Alligators,

This is the first of what I plan to be short, weekly updates about our school.

Let me begin by thanking so many of those families who have extended welcome and well-wishes since my appointment as Principal of our school. It is my honor to continue to lead Alston Ridge into our 10th year, and to protect the excellence that has defined our first decade. We will continue to grow and improve to meet the promise we make to each of your students--to cultivate their curiosity, increase their capacity to learn, and develop their good character.

Tonight is Math Night! Even if you have not previously RSVP'ed to attend, we welcome you and your student(s) from 6-7 p.m. to learn about the standards and curriculum that guide teaching in the grade.

Tuesday, April 2nd from 6-7 p.m.--Come and learn about how to support our teachers and students through the Alston Ridge PTA Board at the upcoming 2019-2020 ARES PTA Board Interest Meeting. Your time and talent are incredibly valuable to the achievement of our students and our ability to retain an outstanding faculty.

Track Change Request Window: March 25th-April 5th we will open an opportunity for families to request a track change for the 2019-2020 school year. There will be the option to make your request through an online form, and in person. Additional information will be sent next week. Our ability to honor track requests will continue to be very limited. This will be further impacted by student reassignment related to Parkside Elementary School.

Upcoming PTA Events:

Monday, March 18th--Spirit Day at City BBQ (1305 Kildaire Farm Rd) and

Thursday, March 22nd--Art to Remember art is due to teachers (Tracks 2/3)

Thank you for all of your support for our teachers, students, and school.

Go Alligators!
